2013 Tour de Lights Bike Ride Knoxville Regional Bicycle Program
Thursday, December 12, 2013, 07:00pm
Knoxville Regional Bicycle Program's 7th annual bike ride is coming up Thursday, December 12 at 7 p.m. The event starts on Market Square and tours historic neighborhoods. This year, for the first time, the streets will be completely closed to motor vehicles, making the ride more like the parade of lights and costumes it has become! YEA! NO CARS! JUST BIKES! Thanks generous presenting sponsor, Downtown Knoxville! Join in for this fun, free bike parade through downtown, 4th & Gill and Old North Knoxville. Riders are encouraged to get creative with lights, costumes and decorations.
Helmets are required along with a white front light and red rear reflector.
There are unique challenges that go along with riding among hundreds of bicyclists, so please find the ride guidelines, route map, and details on awards and photos of past winners at Knoxville Regional Bicycle Program 7th Annual Tour de Lights. The route is about 5 miles long and takes about an hour to ride at a casual pace.
Hot cocoa and treats are available thanks to Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market.
Sponsored by: Downtown Knoxville, Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market, KnoxRevolution, and Smoky Mountain Wheelmen.
